immortality is the ability to stay alive in different ways, from simple regeneration to existential status scales. It must be made clear, that characters like this are not invincible for this reason, this is a characteristic that can be circumvented in many ways.

Types[]

1: Eternal Life Characters who have longevity, basically do not die from natural causes such as old age or disease.

2: Invulnerability Characters with this can survive injuries that would otherwise be lethal to a normal human, without needing to heal, is a type of high level invulnerability.

  • Examples:

3: Immortality via Regeneration: Characters that are immortal based on regeneration. Normally characters like this can regenerate from a single member of the body, a pool of blood, or even an atom.

4: Immortality via reincarnation or resurrection Characters who are immortal because they have the ability to resurrect or reincarnate in another life. Basically exist beyond the mortal plane.

  • Examples: Elixir, Hawkman, Hawkgirl.

5: Deathless Immortality Characters that cannot be killed because the concept of death or life does not apply to them.

6: Parasitic Immortality: Characters who cannot die because they move between bodies, abandoning bodies whenever necessary to transfer their consciousness to another body, whether they are possessing someone else or switching to a backup body, Usually, characters like that also depend on a body to live.

  • Examples: Orochimaru (Naruto).

7: Undead Characters Characters that cannot be killed by basically, are already "dead". And exist beyond the mortal plane.

  • Examples: Hulk, Cancerverse Characters (Marvel).

8: Bond Immortality: Characters who have their existence connected to objects, beings, or concepts. And do not die until these concepts, beings, or objects are destroyed or their connection is severed.

  • Examples: Swamp Thing, Jill Peterson, Captain Atom.

9: Law Immortality Characters who cannot be killed because they have absolute status on the verse, basically a specific verse law applied to them that does not allow them to be killed or defeat.

  • Examples: Gilgamesh (Unwritten), Mercurius (Dies Irae).

10: Status Immortality Characters with infinite HP are usually RPG characters.

11: Transcendental Immortality: Immortal characters because they have an existential status above the verse of which they are part so that they cannot be killed by anyone below them. Usually, such characters reside in places above the entire hierarchy of the verse.

  • Examples: Gwenpoll, Hajun (Dies Irae), Leviathan (Unwritten).

12: Nothingness Immortality: Characters that come back to life even after being erased from existence.

13: Boundless Existence: Characters that exist, existed, and will always exist, regardless of external factors, Characters like this tend to be the creators of his verses; they existed before everything and will continue to exist even after it all.

It should be noted that having immor tality does not automatically give the user victory, as this is totally relative. Remember that immortality does not mean destructive power.
